Welcome to the April 2024 edition of the 5GMED Project Monthly Digest, where we bring you the latest updates and developments in our journey towards establishing a sustainable 5G deployment model for future mobility in the Mediterranean Cross-Border Corridor between Spain and France.

🚄 Use Case 3 Demonstration Final Review

On April 25th, the 5GMED team successfully conducted the final demonstrations of Use Case 3, “Enhanced Railway Communication Services,” alongside representatives from the European Commission at LINEA FIGUERAS PERPIGNAN S.A.

🎙 Upcoming Events

• Hispasat will represent 5GMED at the upcoming 5G Forum in Seville from May 6-9, where the company will deliver a live speech during the event. The 5G Forum is the first multidisciplinary gathering focused on 5G technology held in Spain.

• The 5GMED project will be represented by the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) at the IoT Solutions World Congress 2024 in Barcelona, Spain, from May 21-23, 2024. Visit us at booth #9, hosted by the Generalitat de Catalunya, where we will showcase the latest advancements of the 5GMED project.

• The 5GMED team, along with the 5G-ROUTES Project, will be sharing booth №49 at the 2023 EuCNC & 6G Summit, held in Antwerp, Belgium from June 3-6. This conference focuses on all aspects of telecommunications, including 5G deployment, mobile IoT, and 6G exploration.

• Our consortium partner, i2CAT, will represent the 5GMED project at the 2024 IEEE 99th Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2024-Spring) in Singapore from June 24-27. This conference brings together professionals to discuss advancements in wireless, mobile, and vehicular technology.
