Highlights from IoT Solutions World Congress
The Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC), a 5GMED consortium member, showcased the Smart-Eye sensor system, developed under the 5GMED project, at the IOT Solutions World Congress, held from May 21-23, 2024 in Barcelona.
Smart-Eye uses AI models like YOLOv4 to identify road objects, enhancing real-time vehicle safety. Equipped with a Telematics Control Unit (TCU) and V2X communication stack, Smart-Eye can quickly transmit risk alerts to infrastructure and nearby vehicles. Its dashboard provides drivers with live risk data and the positions of connected vehicles.
