The 5GMED project participated in the Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona, represented by consortium partners including Cellnex Telecom, Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC), IRT Saint Exupéry, i2CAT, Mobile World Capital Barcelona, and Nearby Computing.  

Attracting over 100,000 visitors from February 26th to February 29th, the event served as a significant platform for 5GMED to showcase its initiative to a global audience.  

The CTTC also showcased the SmartEye, a technology developed thanks to the 5GMED project, to representatives from the SNS. 

The participation aimed at highlighting the project’s objectives and its progress in deploying 5G technologies within cross-border scenarios. The congress marked an important step for 5GMED as the project progresses towards its conclusion in August 2024.
